Responsible for the preparation and cooking of food in the workplace.
Job Description
- Prepares and cook food according to the approved menu schedule including rice.
- Coordinates with Canteen Manager with regards to the volume of food preparation.
- Prepares scheduled marination, boiling meat and other preparation needed ahead of time in accordance with the approved menu.
- Take charge of the re-heating and recycling left over foods.
- Washes all kitchen utensils used in the preparation of the food and observe cleanliness and orderliness at all times in the canteen kitchen.
- Assists Canteen Crew in washing of dishes, cups, mugs and other soiled dishes.
- Monitors requisition of LPG in the kitchen and update the Canteen Manager.
- Reports electrical outages or water leaks in the kitchen to the Canteen Manager.
- Adheres to set Company Rules & Regulations, Policies, Procedures, Work Instructions and all statutory and regulatory standards the Company adheres to, such as Occupational Safety & Health and 5S of Good Housekeeping, International Organization for Standardization (ISO), Payment Cards Industry (PCI), Intergraf, MasterCard/CQM requirements, and other safety, quality and security standards that may be prescribed by the Company.
Job Qualifications
- Education – High School Graduate.
- Work Experience – 1-year work experience as cook in canteen or restaurant.
