Responsible for the preparation and cooking of food in the workplace.

Job Description

  1. Prepares and cook food according to the approved menu schedule including rice.
  2. Coordinates with Canteen Manager with regards to the volume of food preparation.
  3. Prepares scheduled marination, boiling meat and other preparation needed ahead of time in accordance with the approved menu.
  4. Take charge of the re-heating and recycling left over foods.
  5. Washes all kitchen utensils used in the preparation of the food and observe cleanliness and orderliness at all times in the canteen kitchen.
  6. Assists Canteen Crew in washing of dishes, cups, mugs and other soiled dishes.
  7. Monitors requisition of LPG in the kitchen and update the Canteen Manager.
  8. Reports electrical outages or water leaks in the kitchen to the Canteen Manager.
  9. Adheres to set Company Rules & Regulations, Policies, Procedures, Work Instructions and all statutory and regulatory standards the Company adheres to, such as Occupational Safety & Health and 5S of Good Housekeeping, International Organization for Standardization (ISO), Payment Cards Industry (PCI), Intergraf, MasterCard/CQM requirements, and other safety, quality and security standards that may be prescribed by the Company.

Job Qualifications

  • Education – High School Graduate.
  • Work Experience – 1-year work experience as cook in canteen or restaurant.
